Bonnell Marie Cotnoir, a New York native, spends time between Bronxville, NY and North Truro, MA making art.

Having studied at The College of New Rochelle and with artist August Propersi, Bonnie earned her degree in Botanical Illustration from The New York Botanical Garden where she studied with Mindy Lighthipe, Eleanor Wunderlich and Dick Rauh.

She continued her study with Carol Bolt at the New York Horticultural Society and currently studies watercolor painting with Brigitte Loritz at the Rye Arts Center.

As a member of the IATSE Screen Cartoonists Local 841, Bonnie was influenced by renowned animator Ralph Bakshi while working at Terrytoons/CBS.

Having won several awards for her work, Bonnie continually participates in group and solo shows in New York and Massachusetts, including annually at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum. Her work is held by many private collectors and has been published.

Bonnie taught watercolor painting in the Bronxville and Chappaqua adult education programs for many years, and now teaches privately by appointment.

Her joy is in the process and that is the beauty of her art.
